A couple of recent posts on amencomelordjesus.com/blog:
A Revelation recounts an experience I had and a great lesson learned.
The Past and The Future covers a couple of sites I've been visiting lately. One has some interesting writings, including an article that excerpts priceless passages from Irenaeus and Hippolytus. The other has a presentation of the Table of Nations I found interesting.
I suspect I will be correlating the two before long.
Peace to all and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you!

Three Dimensional Chess
I just heard Mitt Romney use three dimensional chess as a metaphor for the fact the world has changed since the days of simply playing friends and enemies.
I think anybody who uses three dimensional chess as a metaphor should demonstrate their understanding of the rules of three dimensional chess.
When I figured out three dimensional chess confused me, I took it out of my vocabulary.
I hope this doesn't reintroduce it. I really don't feel like learning the rules.
Plus I feel like people use it to express something beyond their understanding and still try to sound like they know what they're talking about.
That's not good, especially for a presidential candidate discussing foreign policy.
Peace!

Not What I Want To Hear '08, Part 1
From the campaign trail in New Hampshire:
I don't want someone relying on lucky charms.
McCain spent election eve in the same room he occupied the night before the 2000 vote, and today he wore the same green sweater he sported on that happy day. "There is no superstition I won't indulge," he said.People worry about men of faith in the White House. I want a man who believes in the Lord running the country, personally.
I don't want someone relying on lucky charms.
